Mercari eBay Listing Tool

Privacy notice

Updated October 1, 2026

This is a private tool for its owner's eBay selling account. It is not offered as a public service.

The local application prepares product drafts and uses authorized eBay access to check selling policies and inventory settings. Listing operations require complete product information and a separate publication decision. It does not request buyer messages, payment details or order addresses.

Access tokens and responses from seller APIs are kept only in application memory and are not written to draft files or application logs. By default no seller credential is saved. If the owner explicitly enables saved sign-in, the local application on the owner's Mac stores only the seller's refresh token, the seller's stable eBay account identifier (user ID or EIAS ID) and username, and the IDs of the selected business policies and inventory location, in a restricted owner-only folder outside the application data. The developer application's credentials are stored in a restricted file on the owner's Mac and as secrets in the owner's Cloudflare service.

During eBay sign-in, the Cloudflare service passes the one-time authorization code back to the local application on the same Mac. It does not store or log the code.

The Cloudflare service validates eBay account-deletion notifications. It retains keyed hashes of the identifiers in verified notifications to prevent future re-import; raw identifiers and notification bodies are not retained. Notification receipts are retained for 30 days, with aggregate counts retained separately. The Cloudflare service itself stores no buyer or seller account records.

The service cannot reach into the owner's Mac. Instead, the local application asks the service whether its saved seller has been deleted when it starts, before using eBay (at most every 10 minutes) and every 10 minutes while running. If so, it erases the saved credentials and policy selection. If the service cannot be reached, the saved credentials are not used. If the Mac is off or the application is closed, erasure happens at the next start, before any use.

The tool sends authorized API requests to eBay and uses Cloudflare to operate these services. Application data is not sold or used for advertising. This page uses no analytics or cookies.

The owner can disconnect the local application at any time, which erases the saved credentials and policy selection, and can revoke the application's access in eBay account settings.
